After a morning of hunting wily Kansas birds, how about an afternoon going after another kind of "birdie"? The Shady Bend 9-hole golf course is a short 12 miles from our lodge and is an affordable way to spend a fall afternoon. With beautiful oaks, cottonwoods, and 5 holes running along a river it is truly not what one would expect from a small-town Kansas links. Challenging and beautiful, this is a great corporate group option.
It's only one mile from the lodge to the Glen Elder Shooting Range. Here you can continue to practice your shotgun prowess on clay targets, preparing for your next days hunt. Yet another enjoyable way to spend a fall Kansas afternoon with your hunting partners.
