We specialize in world class pheasant hunting! With a state limit of four native roosters (33% more than South Dakota) and the ability to hunt from sunrise to sunset, the value of hunting with Outdoor Obsessions is obvious. The statewide native bird season runs from November through January and the preserve bird season from October through March. Either a state hunting license is required for native and preserve birds, or a Controlled Shooting Area license for preserve-only hunts.

We hunt Kansas Turkey Management Unit 3, and one or two tags per hunter are available over the counter. A state hunting license is required in addition to the turkey tag(s). Season dates include April and May.

The waterfowl hunting in the Downs area can be as good as it gets. Hunts are booked in conjunction with pheasant hunts with availability based upon migration. The hunting takes place over decoys in water for ducks, and field decoy shooting for geese.

Our hunting is in the Kansas Late Zone and the season runs from late October through late January. A state hunting license, a state waterfowl stamp, a federal waterfowl stamp, and a state Harvest Information Program (HIP) stamp is needed to hunt waterfowl.

September in Kansas can offer some of America’s hottest dove hunting action. The hunts take place in sunflower fields and 15 bird limits are the rule on these grey buzz bombs.
